PhD Topic: Language awareness of the Media during world special Olympic games

Introduction

People with intellectual disabilities tend to receive little or no coverages during sporting events specially organized for them worldwide. When it does happen, they are often misrepresented often in a negative way, the focus being on their stereotype. This tends to delimit their ability rather than elevate their performances. There is a need for individuals with intellectual disabilities to be courageous and to be accepted as being capable of performing just like everyone else.
